What to expect

  • Welcome to HYN! As you embark on this journey we advise you to start slow and begin with our Hot Yin classes. They are slower, more relaxing and you will get a great feel for the heat in the studio.

  • Start slow

    If you have any injuries or any concerns please inform him/her before class starts. The teacher is there to make your Yoga class an inspiring and positive experience, so the more they know the better it will fit your personal needs.

    Find your fit

    Be open to new experiences by trying a few (or all) of the different styles of Yoga we offer. That’s a great way to find the Yoga style that suits your personal preference goals.

  • How do we count the ways yoga will change not just your body, your life?! Along with increasing flexibility, strength and focus, a regular yoga practice (at least 3x/week) has been shown to improve the symptoms of many chronic diseases such as arthritis, diabetes, and thyroid disorders. But it goes beyond the mat too! Yoga helps us become more at ease with life’s ‘challenges’. It gives us a sense of calm we can ignite when facing stressful situations.


What to bring

  • You can bring water to class. However, drinking too much water in class can make your stomach feel full and uncomfortable. The best advice is to stay hydrated throughout the day so that you need little or no water in class.

  • Come prepared to sweat! A bath sized towel will keep you from slipping and absorb perspiration. We also have yoga towels with rubber grips available in the studio for you to purchase.

  • All students are required to use a yoga mat. We advise all students to bring their own mat for hygiene reasons. In case you cannot bring your own, we have a limited number of hire mats for £2.

  • We recommend wearing comfortable sweat resistant material that allows you to move freely. An example is the Nike Dri-fit material.


HYN Top Tips

  • Come a few minutes early, class begins ON TIME

  • Please remove your shoes and leave them in the lobby

  • Leave all your belongings and personal items (e.g. mobile devices in the lockers)

  • Lockers are provided BUT you will need to bring a padlock

  • Notify the instructor of any injuries or medical conditions

  • Please remain silent in the yoga room as a courtesy to other students

  • Listen to the teacher AND your body

  • Try and follow the directions as they are given, to the best of your ability

  • Please note there is a six hour cancellation window for all In Studio booked classes, no shows and late cancels will incur a £5 fee to be debited from the card held on file. Bookings and cancellations can be made online or through the mindbody app
